This is a tale of two wines; on the nose, this initially shows definite vanilla and toasty oak notes with peach and apricot undertones. Led me to anticipate a Rombauer-type style. But on the palate, it is surprisingly crisp and dry with minerality on the finish; more Burgundy-style. Very nice QPR.

Grape, Grain and Graze Festival (Sydney showgrounds, Sydney): Slight struck match, sweet spice, citrus and stone fruit, smidge of butter. On the palate this is quite dilute and wet, lemon fruit is a smidge sour, for me. Possibly lacks generosity. Hmm.
