12022024 - 3rd Day of Lunar New Year celebration at Ed’s house. My bottle tasted blind. Still so fresh for a 29 yrs old Chianti Classico. Dried cranberries, leather, dried tobacco & sundried tomatoes. Lively acidity & really pleasant mouthfeel

Tart sour cherries with a hint of chocolate and tingling acidity. Quite a bit of age on it. Time to drink. This is my first of 3 bottles I bought a while ago. Very smooth and drinks easily. Better than a lot of Brunellos.

Beautiful nose of cherries, showing little of its age. The mouthfeel is soft and silky but with the textbook sandy tannins. Needs some matching food to be really enjoyed. The last bottle was unfortunately spoiled but this was really great.

It's time to drink-up if you have any left. After 17 years of sleep, this Chianti is ready to impress with a fruit forward full-bodied palate. Notes of cherry, blackberries and oak stood-out for me. The finish was smooth and lingered for quite some time. Sad to see this go, but, enjoyed every drop.
