Enjoyed after dinner with friends. It is a nice caramel color now, and had notes of dulce de leche, Granny Smith apple, and kiwi. I enjoyed in spite of not being a big fan of sweet dessert wines besides tawny ports.

DarK caramel colour. The flavours were spot on, with raisins, caramelised orange peel and burnt sugar in wonderful balance, all cleaned out by the wonderful acidity. Still drinking beautifully....

Not in love with this. Overt nose of brown sugar and caramel. The palate is kind of a soupy sweet melange of caramel, honey, brown sugar, molasses without much structure and balance. I may have let’s this mature too long.

Given the relatively short history of Canadian icewine (lets call it 30 years), as a frequent drinker I am always curious to judge the aging potential. Often times I get mixed results and this was one of this wines. At 10 years old, I thought it was already on the downtrend. Inniskillin has a great reputation and almost never puts out a bad icewine but this wine just isn't as great as some of the others out there. Nice medium brown, maple syrup color in the glass followed by the oft described candied fruit flavors, most prominent being apricot. The acidity is only medium, probably why I didn't score it a touch higher. A decent finish and length round out this solid, if not world-class, effort. The wine has definitely stopped evolving. Perhaps the vidal icewines age a little better than the rieslings.

Really nice after all these years. Turned a beautiful caramel color and gained nice caramel flavor with age.
