Flint and lemon zest and a whiff of petroleum on the nose, zingy sherbet lemon flavours. A punchy little number, although this bottle was feeling a little tired (possilby been on supermarket shelf for too long I suspect).

(Mesh Riesling) This project was launched in 2002 by Robert Hill Smith from the Yalumba winery and Clare Valley winemaking legend Jeffrey Grosset. Floral and mineral-laden aromas lead to a slightly tart palate with lime-zest and light-pear flavors. The wine is racy and intense, finishing with good length. If you can’t find this bottling, try any vintage of Grosset’s Polish Hill Riesling—either one is classic Aussie Riesling at its best. Winery Spotlight: Domaine Marcel Deiss

Refreshing high acidity with good lemon, lime, pear and tropical, buttery notes. Lovely long finish.

Great nose, with some petrol and straw. The palate shows crisp acidity with grapefruit and lime. The finish is long, and dry, lovely stuff.
