Wasn’t sure this was going to be drinkable. Cork looked like it had been through a war and the ullage level was low shoulder. But wow, drinking beautiful. Big nose, still showing red fruit, leather, spice. Great acidity, tart cherry, Oolong tea, horse tack with a huge finish. Definitely drink up now though, this won’t last much longer imo. Served with a rabbit ragu over polenta which was a perfect match.

Barbaresco tasting (at Eli Raban's home, Rehovot): Dark translucent red brown Quality ripe tertiary nose with earthy notes Firm tannins, well structured, good complexity, rich ripe cherries flavors, light truffles, acetone hints, rustic finish and aftertaste

Impressive bottle. Had some doubts wether it had been kept at the right conditions, but it turned out that it was perfect. I think it could easily be kept for 10 more years. Still many tanins - but balanced - and high complexity.

The color is black, tannin & structure revealed, however, the Nebbiolo grape; dense, concentrated wine that is barely on its way to becoming mature. Cherry, licorice, coffee flavor, very long-lasting.

Medium brick red color. Lots of perfume on the nose with a hint of new oak. A little bit of warmth on the nose from some alcohol. The palate is medium weight with some heft in the middle and a nice long finish. Some heat present.
