  • Orange-brown color at the edges. Nose of oak, leather and minerality with dark berries following. On the palate, dark berries, leather and oak with a touch of graphite. Tannins have yet to fully mellow, so this wine has room to age further and achieve greater balance than it has already. Easily has another 5+ years.

  • Drinking really well. Good acidity Well integrated oak especially on finish. Still showing some tannin. Red currant, dried cherries. Has an almost smoky character. Quite tasty. Drink now or over next couple years.

  • Picked out a rioja to go with a moroccan tagging and the match was very good. This is drinking well now with ripe fruit and a touch of smoke and leather. Not quite as much secondary tones as I might have expected and I agree with those who say that the time to drink this is now. This bottle disappeared quickly.

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, it has deep ruby color, with fading rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of red fruit of cherry, black fruit of blackberry and plum, animal notes of leather and meaty, oak notes of cedar and vanilla, maturity notes of savory and tobacco, kernel notes of cocoa, sweet spice of cinnamon. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and velvety texture, medium (+) alcohol and medium (-) body, showing medium (+) intensity flavors of black fruit of blackberry and plum, oak notes of cedar, sweet spice of clove, kernel notes of dark chocolate, maturity notes of truffle. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Rioja with a highly complex nose of good intensity, the wine is really impressive on the nose, with a good palate showing a robust structure, with elegance and a finesse that is outstanding of a Rioja. The flavors are solid and concentrated, with fairly long finish. It is ready to drink though can be further developed for another 3-5 years.
