Charles' 70s themed Karaoke Birthday Bash (Waterloo Street, Singapore): Green gold, with a touch of yellow telling of its age. This was actually doing really well for an 11 year old Spat. Very classic Mosel – petrol and rubber on the nose, along with wet slate and some white fruit. I thought it the fruit had started to fade a little at first, but with some time, the wine began to show pear, then green apple and finally a touch of apricot on the nose. Super-classic palate as well, wet stony mineral, green apples and lingering, perfumed flowers in the finish. Very nice, very correct. It was just lacking a bit of extra oomph. Otherwise, a really nice wine.

Armory Center German Riesling: Smokey, rich, not as much sweetness as Spreitzer, nectarine, earthy, very nice complexity! Grt bal.--good stuff. Grt bargain too.

Vineyard Gate: Max Ferd. Richter's Library Releases of Riesling (Millbrae, CA): Nose more subdued with minor fruit and mineral notes. Palate is pleasant and soft, but relatively uninteresting. Very drinkable now.
