Black cherry, stewed plum, nutmeg, anise, kiss of clove, cola, wet leaves. Definitely on the darker side of pinot, more dark fruit versus red fruit, and big French oak influence. White the oak influence is high, it is very well integrated, it plays with the fruit very nicely. Balance is very good, my only acid head nick pick would be I wish it had a bit more freshness to help it feel more alive. Tannins are very velvety and smooth, with just a kiss of grip left on the finish. Very fleshy texture, with pretty hefty weight to back it up. Medium length, very much so carried by the spices. I wouldn't call this a complex wine, but it hits all the notes for what you would want out of a richer pinot. Lower acidity and soft tannins would have me drinking more of this sooner rather than later.
