Last bottle. Much better than I remembered it. Medium-bodied, well-balanced. Rich mouthfeel, jammy with some exotic spice.

Bright purple/red. Extremely fragrant with a very complex (but not entirely attractive) nose of blackberries, cherries, meats, forest floor and spice. The palate is medium bodied and very much fruit driven, which was suprising given the nose, with flavours of blackberries, red berries, cherries and spice. An interesting and challenging wine, all of which is a good thing!

Ruby red, slight fade at the rim. Light on the nose, dark fruit, a little pepper. Opened up over an hour or so. Started just simple, clean with a touch of dusty tannin. Gained more depth with some air but still medium bodied. Quite seductive, enough acid to keep it fresh.
