Ripe fruit, some oak, malo butteryness, more alcohol than average, and a long finish. A decadent California style that is mainly a thing of the past now. Despite that, it has a rustic quality akin to an traditional Chiati classico, maybe an aspect of the old vines. This is a well assembled blend of cool climate grapes. It never crossed over the line from opulent to grotesque. I wish I had discovered this winemaker before he retired. It's ready to drink, I wouldn't age it more than a few years or risk losing some of the fruit.
Holds up well on day two.

Light nose, similar profile to cold-climate pinot noir, some red fruit on the palate, clean finish. enjoyable without food. great QPR
