Big, bold, & boisterous. Took a solid 3-4 hours of decanting before it settled down and opened up. Really tasty stuff overall. Amazingly years left to go. Had I another bottle, I wouldn't open until 2025. Had with charcuterie, deserved some red meat.

Deep purple/red color. Aromas of cassis and blackberries, violets and oak spices. Full bodied, ripe fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Although high in alcohol, balanced and supple on the palate. At peak.

Intriguing and unquestionably Syrah. There's a certain concentration that takes one away from the Rhone but that's where it ends. From where could this be? Despite the 15% alcohol, the bacon, pepper, and black olive components are there and in balance. Never would have guessed Chile.

Encore ample et musclé, pour la finesse
on repassera. Trop imposant pour moi.
