This had a nice balance and seemed well made, but I'm not the audience for this level of oak treatment. For those who are looking for a well crafted version of a modern American wine that isn't disjointed and enjoy a lot of silky vanilla/oak (with alcohol kept in check), this might be up your alley. I can't say if the oak would die down over time, but I think this would be too much for me even down the road. I'm not a huge new world fan generally, so take my comments for what they are.
Now watch me find out no oak was used. I'll do a day 2 update if any significant changes.
