  • Plastic, oyster shells, salinity, lemon juice, ripe green melon, ripe white peach and jasmine on the nose. Pretty primary for Muscadet! Not sure if that's a hallmark of Monnières-Saint-Fiacre or not. Medium intensity of aromas. Flavors pretty consistent with the aromas, and just as primary. The intensity, though ratchets up to medium + on the palate.

Medium body with medium acid. Tastes younger than 8 years old, which tells me this can age a good while longer in the bottle (up to 5-10 years!). Whether or not you WANT to age it will depend on how primary you like your Muscadet.

Day 2: A good deal less primary - more salt and plastic. I liked it more on day 1.
