Good, hearty blend of Carignan and Grenache. Having been to their vineyards (and cellar) it's hard not to get transported to the place with just one sip and taste. Meaty, a touch savory, with some espresso. Still good freshness with resolved, sweet tannins. Holding up just fine, with avg+ length, complexity and depth. Now or the next 3-5 years depending on your preferences. recommended
nose - soil, crushed rock, oak, blueberry muffin? mouth - serious, rich, bold dark fruit with plenty of extract, on the midpalate lots of dark fruits with good minerality, sour blueberries and blackberries on the finish with quite the gum coating tannins. I think this wine is just a youngster, and it seemed to close down with time in the glass.

2004 vs. 2005 in Spain with Helio San Miguel (New York): Black with deep ruby rim. Somewhat reticent on the nose, porty in aspect, with mulling spices, dirt, plum, raisin and some toasted notes. Medium to full bodied on the palate and well balanced, interesting and complex. A bit alcoholic. Group's #6, my #6.

Dark red murky color. Pine and menthol aromas. Smokey dark cherry flavors evolve quickly to tart cranberry flavors. Lots of acidity and needs food.
