  Decanted initially more to warm it up from its cellar chill. Massive sweet dark red fruit aroma with spice and vanilla. Mouth filling and warmth from the high abv of 15.5. Intense, concentrated but just this side of becoming flabby. Acidity is hanging in there.

  There are certainly numerous reviews here of this excellent, 2022 WS Wine of the Year second wine from the premier Schrader Cellars vineyard. Not really giving a full review here but just providing my thoughts and experience this evening with a beautiful bottle that expresses itself nicely now and will continue to gratify over the coming years. Took this out of the cellar to enjoy on a cool evening next to the fireplace after some snow fall earlier in the day.
  
  Gave it a good two hour decanting and aromas emerged on the nose suggesting nutmeg, toasted cedar bark, and a hint of mint. Knowing that this wine is 70% To kalon, my first sip offered a medium to full-bodied experience with a ruby purple display and notes of cassis, tobacco, and plum sauce flavors. The second glass on the pallet had dense blackberry fruit, dark chocolate and lavender flavors with a long floral finish. Pleasing acidity and very fine tannins. It's already drinking nicely, and while it should develop over the years, not one that I will cellar my other 4 bottles long. I enjoy them this year and next. Enjoy these bottles now!

  Notes of dark plum and apricot. A little jammy with some cherry on the palette.

  Had to open my second bottle to confirm my thoughts on this wine, very solid with dark plush fruit, spicy dark chocolate, cedar, mineral underlines along with fresh earth, focused tannins long and slightly velvety finish. Very solid wine for the price.
