  An unusual but enjoyable Syrah. A noticeable but not excessive "spritz" of carbonation, along with a pleasant but light bodied fruitiness. Not a typical full bodied Syrah but more like a Rioja or Sangiovese. We had it with pasta which was probably a better match than with highly spiced food or red meat.

  I don't think a "breakfast Syrah" is a thing, but if it was, this might be it. My guess is that there's probably partial carbonic maceration and a bunch of whole cluster on this. Young, with a bit of spritz. It's very bright and fresh, but is far from extracted and the structure is much more focused on the acidity. This sticks very close to the house style and delivers the classic darker Syrah notes, minus a lot of the savory meat and olives, in a way that you don't immediately run to pair this with grilled meat. If you have heart felt "natty" vs. "classic" opinions... then caveat emptor.
