Tasted open bottle at Ansonia in Newton, MA today; separately had bought 12 on release (only 5 left, rapacious family has drunk them up). Knockout nose for level, full mid palate, very good length. This wine was tight on release and just keeps getting better and better.
Side conversation at Ansonia: initial reviews scored in high 80s, Decanter tasting panel in mid 90s (!) - this Hautes-Cotes needs a little time in bottle to unfold. Great QPR and will buy in future vintages.

Pale yellow gold. Nose opens up to reveal wonderfully expressive aromas of peach and lime zest. Medium bodied, decent length of flavors.
This wine does not have the concentration nor the complexity to garner a higher score but I love the wine’s direct and straight forward character, “drink me now”. Perfect drink for a hot summer’s day and will go well with a variety of foods due to the excellent line of acidity.
