Initially hesitant to open given it's still relatively young for the appellation, but glad I did. Dark purple, maroon. Intense nose of red fruits on opening, strawberries, rose petals. This evolved to a more reductive nose, mineral character as time went on. Palate was on the whole balanced with adequate amounts of acidity, not overpowering, with substance to it. Tannins were very subtle, almost imperceptible. This wine does however does remind me of excellent syrahs in Rhone, perhaps the vintage was a hotter one? I think this will improve in the future, but certainly very much enjoyable now!

Medium ruby-purple color. Slight reductive nose - typical of Arlaud. Notes of toast, violet, potpourri, and baking spices come through. Black currant and black cherry fruit has liquor-like intensity, in a good way. Strong salinity and chalky and ripe tannin texture. Midpalate cherry-pit bitterness. Finish with chocolate and sweet tobacco notes. Medium body and Medium plus acidity.
A little more assertive than my image of Chambolle-Musigny. Still, it's a very nice wine with deep fruit and a very good structure.

Expressive nose of red fruits, cherry liqueur, floral notes and spice. Juicy with impressive depth of fruit, silky tannins and good length. An elegant, charming wine which thoroughly represents the Chambolle terroir. Big fan of this producer!
