  Brick red with obvious tan edges. An unusual amount of sediment present. Initial alcohol nose blows off in 15 minutes revealing a dramatic floral nose of sweet raisins, buttered burnt sugar, stewed blackberry and warm blackberry jam. Lots of tannin structure, plenty of fruit, in fact presents itself as young and in need of several more years in the bottle. My guess is it will hit its peak in 5 years. Better on Day 2.
