  • Interesting Sangiovese in the Texas Style. Pale color with a slight salmon tint. The nose shows dark cherry with the characteristic spices of a Italian. Medium body with moderate tannins that quickly give way to a burst of acidity. Cherry, cranberry, and a hint of black pepper on the palate. Don't try to compare this to an Italian presentation. Totally different style.

  • We are trying Texas wines. This is a more high end. I was Curious how this would compare to Italian Chianti ( also sangiovese grape). To compare, This would be a little thinner than I expected, and a little sweeter ( I find all American wines to be sweeter than comparable Euro wines). Not acidic, not tannic. We had it with pasta and tomato based sauce. Decent match.
