  The nose really shines with rose and lilac florals, smokey and vegetal aromas, and cherry, plum, and raspberry. The elegant and refined medium body is filled with densely and finely grained tannin and bright acid. Neither fruit-forward nor funky dry, it gains weight on the palate whilst the acid keeps the size in check. Although the tannin management and balance are impressive, at this very young stage the tannins do become quite drying with extended aeration. The savory, almost salty flavor profile includes plum, potpourri, blood orange, Herbes de Provence, cherry, and black pepper. Varietally faithful, this will improve over the next ten to twenty years.
