  dark ruby color. black cherries and old-fashioned fountain cola on the nose. full-bodied and big with 15.5% alcohol, but there is a refreshing amount of acidity. this wine shows rich black cherry, tar, dust and oak flavors. the finish has chocolate-covered blueberries and just a hint of heat. it has solid tannin structure and could blossom with age i imagine, but it is so plush and delicious already. a hedonistic merlot and a solid value.
