Wine was served as a PNP. It is a perfect spot and did not change over the 2 hrs it was consumed. If you are looking for gripping tannins or over the top fruit then this is not your wine. An excellent example of a balanced Howell Mountain wine.

Napa 2023 - The Sequel; 8/23/2023-8/28/2023: PnP, could have used a decant as there was sediment on the cork and in the bottle even at this early stage. Delicious mountain fruit-black cherry, blackberry, hint of forest, nice tannic backbone that carried it across the palate. While the grippy tannins seem to subdue this finish, this was far more open for a 2019 mountain wine than I would have thought. I think this gets better with years sideways.
