It’s interesting - I just took a look at my previous notes and I can’t imagine describing this wine as heavy-handed. Hard to say whether that is due simply to the passage of time or a different context tonight, but this is showing very differently.
Focused fruit and prominent acidity - the combination makes you sit up and take notice. A “lean and mean” version of Pinot Blanc, and whether you like the grape or not, inarguably interesting. I believe I still have one bottle left and I think I will put it aside for a few years because I’m definitely curious to see what happens with it.

This needed a bit of air to get going, but then it was quite generous with aromas of ripe, golden apples and lychee fruit, marzipan and vanilla. The palate matches up, but there is a nice line of acidity that came across as lemon pith to me. The wine has a lovely, rich texture and a long finish.

Another very enjoyable bottle of this; seems to be gaining a bit of complexity; lovely freshness. Easy to sip.

Pale steely yellow geen; mineral, grain, white flower, quince, a bitter phenolic quality, Asian pear, a little leesiness; very good.

Very pleasant as an aperitif with cheeses/veggies; nice complexity on the nose with a touch of phenolic sensations on the palate.
