NSG Central Tasting (Chicago): Dark and brooding nose with little nuance or appeal. The palate is hard and tannic with not nearly enough fruit. I don't think this will ever come around given the lacking fruit relative to structure. Some in the group enjoyed the wine. Low 80s score at best. Old school Faiveley when it goes wrong.

This is a wine on the upswing...a bit tight when popped and poured. Lovely aromatics of red flowers, cranberry and perfume. This showed lots of complexity as it sat in the glass. Super elegant on the palate with a nice balance. Glad there's more of these in the cellar.

The cork crumbled and stuck to the sides of the bottle neck. I pushed it in and filtered it but dust powder remained visible floating on the surface.
No obvious cork taint.
However, it’s not quite on point. The tannins are very very dry. There is a little bit of red fruit.

Nuits St Georges 1er "Central" Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Much too tannic for the level of fruit. Not that there isn’t plenty of fruit... there is just so much firm structure.
