Community Tasting Notes (3)

  • Popped and poured. This bottle just didn't live up to the last two I have had. Nose was dull and the flavors were just acceptable. Decent mouthfeel. There was nothing in here tonight that spoke to the cab franc (definitely couldn't have picked it out of a line-up). Tasted like a low-mid priced red blend. Nothing wrong with it, but not a stand out. Would purchase again only because the two other bottles of this wine were so good.

  • Popped the bottle and let it breathe for a couple of hours. Beautiful nose right off the bat. Tons of spiced vegetables, earth and smoked bacon. Palate was a combination of tomatoes and black cherry. Silky mouthfeel. Finish lasted a nice long time. Would purchase again.

  • Roasted coffee all over the nose. Lots of green vegetal aromas (in a good way) along with a background of blackberry. Smoothe, but punctuated tannic structure. On the palate there are lots of veggie flavors. A bit like drinking a sodium free V8. Flavor doesn't last terribly long, but the tannins are sticking with me for a couple of minutes. Would purchase again.
