Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 82.5 points

  • 89 community bottles "in cellar" of this 2005 Aussie cab as of 2019... Guessing the other 86 bottles are on display (like my 3) by owners whose name begins with R. The bottle label looks built to age well, as a dining room decoration.

  • Nice dark color; raspberry and the lightest of oak on the nose. Bitter red fruit (cherry and some raspberry) upfront, not much middle, sour cherry after. Moderate tannins in middle, plus acid in middle and after, which made for a poor mouth feel, although the acid moderated slightly and the oak just peeked out a little after a few hours.

  • Bottle open for 1 hour. Not decanted. Dark Garnet color. Aroma of strawberries and celery. On the palate bitter cherry and dirt. Very tannic and acidic. About as balanced
as the supreme court.Would you drink this in the house? No I would not drink this in the house, with a mouse in the car or in the bar Sam I Am. This Cabernet is only slightly
better then the Boarding Pass but I could not recommend it.
