Opened in the run in to Christmas. Packed full of sweet, ripe black fruit. Lovely balance, this punches well above it's relatively lowly price point. Outpointed the 1994 vintage Croft, which we had on the big day, but which seemed somewhat muted and one-dimensional in comparison.
Not the most complex, but very enjoyable, it slips down dangerously easily.

Briefly, this is a really nice port for the price. Best for me on day 2 when a little initial alcohol heat has burnt off. There's a nice balance of bite and fruit (cassis) sweetness, also with a very pleasant chocolate note.
For the ~US$42 that I paid I find this to be very reasonable QPR. More bottles are on the way.

Another beautiful bottle of this. Love the combination of richness and freshness here, very pure fruit and plenty of complexity, especially in this price range. Lovely.

Coravin. Colour remains deep; black cherry, heady; sweet, plenty of lush fruit & gumption, raisined; retains plenty of punch on a spirited finish. Corked pulled 6 weeks later. This showed very well. Excellent depth.

Rauchige, tabakige Nase aber auch brombeerig, Gewürznelken und Honig. Am Gaumen druckvolle, brombeerige Frucht, tragende Säure und rauchige Aromen. Wirklich geil!
