This is very different from the port monsters others been tasting, maybe bottle variation? This had beautiful, aged mountain fruit in perfect harmony with other components of spice. I get a little coffee and brown sugar which others may be referring to as port but this is not even close to being that or raisin like. This is like the previous taster rather right bank in the new world. In a word, lovely.

Oh my, this is outstanding...if Chateau Lafleur was on a mountain with great weather, this would be its twin...beautiful aromatics of kirsch, black sugared creme brulee, mountain spice, marshmello s’mores...flavor matching the nose but smooth but medium to full bodied. I love this. Makes sense this is WS wine of the year.

Rich red fruit and some mocha, a touch spicy, but came off as flabby and unstructured. Perhaps the acidity to balance the ripeness was there in the past, but the bottle didn't come off as tired either.

Still a beast. Hold if you prefer some signs of maturity. Drink if you like them huge and young. Decanted about an hour.
