First white from Brisset I've had from a fancier terroir than their AOC Bourgognes and St. Aubins, which are excellent in their own ways, but this is a big step up and brings with it the richness and opulence of Brisset's reds. It's true Chassagne like I've not had in a long time, unabashedly brassy with deep tones and a throwback to an era when Cote d'Or whites weren't made to taste like Chablis. Still, it has a chalky, sandy texture that gives it a mouth-puckering sensation like the tannins in a red. Diam cork (thank you), so cellar with confidence.

Mosaïque en Côte de Beaune - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Palais des Congrès - Beaune): Walk around tasting. New wine in the lineup. Rich and fatty, less brightness and textural charm. 90-91 point potential, 2024 forward
