Tasting evening with Bas en Lennart (Home, Utrecht): [Blind tasted] Medium intensity on the nose with apple sauce, baked yellow apple, honey, fennel, tomato leaf, hazelnut. Medium+ acidity, medium+ bodied, medium+ palate intensity, medium+ finish. Initial aroma’s steered me towards Chenin and although the acidity profile should have steered me away from Chenin, I stayed at CB. As always a warning not to draw initial conclusions…
