This is why you age even NV Champagne. Purchased in 2009 and this is really stunning now. Medium gold, plenty of mousse. Huge nose of fresh baked croissant , spongecake, almond butter, old wooden aircraft hangar, and banana-mango smoothie. 2/3 Pinot, 1/3 Chard and the complex aroma translates wonderfully on the palate. Finish carries on like a Grand Cru Burgundy. One of the best Champers I've ever had. 5+13+18+8= 94

OC4POKER XI - Spain, Portugal, and Bubbly (WCC - Irvine CA): I really enjoyed this wine. The nose smells of hot apple turnovers with a dusting of cinnamon, how can you not like that? Taste is red apple and fine bubbles dance on the tongue. yummy.

Nice nose of apple, berries, almond, toast, and brioche. Nice entry on the palate, but it then wallows and fattens, without adequate mineral or acidity to carry the ripe fruit. Finishes short. Disappointing.

Full of life and spirit, but having enough sophistication to be interesting, this champagne should be a definite add to any "value" list.
