30 minute decant. Nose of fresh ginger, pine sap, and honeycomb. Dry palate of pear skin, lemon peel, and dried oranges. Prickly tannins and pith on the finish with peach an a hint of cardamon pod.

Highly textural - a bit of zip on the tongue from mild tannins, and weighty. Takes a while to open but fascinating aromas and flavors. Kumquat, spearmint, pine, lemon oil. A wine to savor but versatile - went well with Turkish food on night one, and kielbasa and eggs on night two.

Still not ringing any bells for me. It has almost no bouquet and the absence of flavor to match. What is there, is somewhat bitter apple and lime peel. At least it is overall short and abrupt, except for a little lingering astringency. The praise for this baffles me. 4+7+10+6= 77
Had with Easter Paella. Mysterious orange astral cloud color. Nose of salty seaside air, wet mint, and thyme On the palate, tangerine and cumquat notes ride quickly across the palate adding floral and fresh herbal notes along the way. Soft finish with vague citrus peel and pith that dries out and adds lingering candied ginger and moon dust. Hard to capture in notes what this tastes like!

Quite good, but falls short of the very high bar set by most EDWC wines. Juicy, lightly raspy tannic structure, a bit lacking in amplitude on the midpalate, and very quaffable, if not exactly the most complex chenin. A fair amount of sediment too.
