Portugal and South West France, Languedoc-Roussill, Episode #401, 2/5/2008, (See more on Wine Library TV...) 90+ points

(Carm Douro) #1;COLOR-dark; NOSE-heavy layer of raspberry tart; tight; little black tea component; herbaceous component; TASTE-this is extremely good; very complex; huge layers of good black chocolate; really rich black fruit; gorgeous creaminess - almost like an Egg Nog component which is just perfect; black licorice, figs; heavy on the black cherries; extraordinary length, finish & silkiness for a $12 bottle - like a $30-$40 Spanish wine; this is a Home Run; WS-88; GV-91+
