A few survivors remain from the well-regarded, if not epic, 2005 vintage. The Durant Bishop was the cheapest of the three remaining and succumbed Saturday night to (yet another) PNW salmon. We are nothing if not predictable.
I have to take issue with all points on the only other review of this wine, because I found it delightful. Somewhat brick-red in color at this stage, a little fading; but not on the nose, as once again the intoxicating pungent aromas filled the glass. Yes, okay, moderate acidity (but isn't that good), more than compensated for by ripe, rich cherry fruit, candied sugar, lengthy finish. I would say this had years to go potentially.

Overly acidic, no evident fruit, an unpleasant wine. Did not improve with time in the glass.
