Well balanced and medium-high body. Higher on the tannins. Flavor of darker fruits, blueberry, some sweetness and acidity in there as well. Very enjoyable and great flavors.

I knew i would like this wine as soon as I saw it on the shelf at Food Lion. Because of the famous Lake County Red soils, expected and received a very purple wine. Popping the cork revealed what might have been a heavy hand with the heavy toast oak, but the vinturi and and some swirling resolved that. Also expected a well less than a full bodied Cabernet, and this one is barely medium bodied. The 13.9% alcohol is noticeable on the nose, along with lots of black cherry but also some red raspberry. Very satisfying mouth coating blueberry and black cherry fruit. Heavy toast oak. Some black pepper. Moderate tannins. Nicely balanced acid. Lingering dark fruit finish. At $14 in South Carolina, there is no need to almost all of the more generic California Cabernet’s in this price range.

Dry, medium-full body, dark fruit, firm tannins. Not sure why the average score is so low.

Recht typischer Vertreter seiner Zunft. Intensive Vanille zu Beginn, dann Eiche. Sehr fruchtig und üppig, aber trocken.
