  • Purply garnet color.
Aromas of cedar, eucalyptus, cherry and red raspberry, cocoa.
Medium plus bodied, with a good acidity that really holds this up and expresses a nice minerality.
Coffee, and lots of sweet red cherry fruit on the plate. With air this opens up nicely. There are a lot of tannins that I think need some time to really resolve and bring this to it's peak. Very good! Will be better in 3-5 years.

  • Initial 1 hour decant, but the wine really needed 2+ hours to show itself, so this tasting note is after 150 minutes. 57 F. Rich teeth-staining ruby color. Lovely fruity nose. Moody dark fruits, mocha notes, hints of mint, vanilla and sage. Acidity a bit low but well-integrated and pleasant, as was the oak. Grippy, satin-like tannins gradually emerged with air. Long legs but no noticeable heat. Juicy but not sweet dark fruits on the palate work well in conjunction with the drying tannins. Plum, blackberry, tobacco leaf, dried cocoa and peppercorn. Short finish. I could see this improving over the next few years, and will try to hold off on the last bottle.

  • Medium purple color. Deep but tart aromas of blueberry and black cherries, with complex, deep and spicy tones: tar, mocha, sage, sweet red pepper, black pepper and balsamic glaze. The palate is full but smooth and, like the others, this wine’s acidity is really nice. Tangy plums and juicy black currant fruit blends well with leather, paprika, black pepper, spicy tobacco, mint. A lot going on, and I’d like to see this in five or six years. Cab Sauv with 2% Petit Verdot, aged in 100% French oak.

  • Dark purple in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, raspberries, black plums, oak, light vanilla, licorice, herbs, tobacco leaf, earth, spices, chocolates, dark coffee and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, black currants, oak, tobacco, licorice, peppercorn, coffee, cinnamon, earth, spices, light vegetables and herbs.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake County in California. Fruit forward with lots of coffee and chocolates notes.

Needs a few hours of airtime to open up, but drinkable right out of the bottle too. Big tannins come out after a couple of hours of air.

Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel, but still very young, and needs five years in the bottle to mature properly. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years. Will age nicely in the next 10 years.

I had the 2017 vintage a year ago and it is very consistent.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.

    14.3% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $75.
