  • If this could smell or taste any more like apple infused butter, I don’t know how. Rich and creamy without a trace of butterscotch or heavy oak, this delivers both minerality as well as a round mouthfeel. Crisp apple slices across the tongue with the unctuous feel of cream coating the sides of the mouth. Perhaps a note of hazelnut rounds out the finish. Regrettably, this must be my last bottle, but pleasantly a bottle at peak. 13% alc. With roasted leek soup. The wine succeeded in spite of the dish. Highly Recommended.

  • The color is somewhere between that of pale straw and early morning spring sunshine. Either way, it’s beautiful. Mineral, lime, anise (?) and hazelnut all fill out the mouth. Crisp and lively with a gripping mouthfeel gives this wine some exciting qualities that, for the vintage, is very surprising. Perhaps it’s a bit short on the mid-palate and finish, but it remains a pure, clean pour. 13% alc. With crab cakes over arugula. Also very nice with the aged gouda served with the bread. Recommended.

  • (See also the note on the Blenheim Chardonnay 05 for this same date.) This is paler than the Blenheim Chard with a green tinge around the rim and a pale gold in the center. And this paired so much better with the food! Lime, mineral, pear and apple cider flavors peak around each other like the choreography of the VanTrapps in number “Cookoo” from the Sound of Music. Balanced, enchanting, excellent. The wine was lovely. 13% alc. With a meal of pistachio crusted halibut. Highly Recommended.

  • Lovely wine. Deep and complex on the nose, very focused, very chablis, minerality in good balance with fruit. Excelent acidity and long end.

  • Clear pale straw. Very pleasant nose dominated by minerality but hints of honey (but not sweet), some nutmeg perhaps. On the palate the minerality dominates with a sense of slate and some sense of the sea. Medium bodied. Decent finish.
