  • Pretty good but might be time to start finishing these up...not sure how much more life it has...

  • Bright red, strawberry Kool-Aid in the glass. Nose of candied red fruit (reminded me of strawberry Kool-Aid as well!), fresh cracked black pepper, with a little mineral and soil. Starts off with that candied cherry and strawberry flavor, the pepper checks in bigtime, with minerality and wood bringing up the rear. Checks in at a hefty 14.9% ABV. You can certainly taste the alcohol, but only a little heat. This is a good pinot but definitely one where you wonder if somebody spiked it with a bit of syrah. 88-89.

  • Light garnet in color, pretty. Nice nose of black cherries. Was light and graceful on the palate. Not a hard edge anywhere, silky. Nice cherry and red berry fruit flavors with a minerally undertone. A light cured meat character and pleasant acidity also complimented this wine. I thought it was a great pinot.

  • Color of raspberry, aromas of earth, berry are followed by flavors of cherry, spice and meat. Has good acidity that should mellow in a couple years.

  • Decent Oregon Pinot. Good pinot nose, not overwhelming like some can be. Pretty bright red, thin. Legs ran pretty quick. Spouse did not like as much. Meat flavored undertones. Decanted and now in third day has evened out and toned down. Okay but I think in this price range I perfer Patricia Green and Kings Estate offerings. Was well recommened by sales staff but just okay. Drink now to 2012.
