Never had Sherry until this bottle, but something seems wrong with this. Very strange. Wondering if it has turned. From other notes here, seems like this isn't the best first Sherry to try. Very disappointing.

Spain and Portugal (2033 Brandywine): This was bad. I enjoyed the nose a bit. Some salinity and nuttiness. But it was virtually undrinkable as a wine, resembling soapy dish water.

Spain and Portugal Tasting (Casa Roberts): Simple, briny sherry. Light and refreshing with some raw almond notes behind the salt, and an oiliness. A nice apertif wine. Everyone in the group despised this wine -- I am typically not a sherry drinker, but I like the saltiness of Manzanillas.
