Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 93 points

  • After yesterday's Chardonnay from Fürst, Bürgstadter Berg 2017, today this Chardonnay in the glass.

Clearly a step above, and the Berg is by no means a bad wine with my score of 92 pts. But this Rebholz Chardonnay has more density, complexity, length, all very unmanipulated and natural, a sophisticated wine and tastable more and very high quality.

Great German Chardonnay and possible with more ripeness a candidate to venture into the drug area, i.e. 95 pts and more !

  • PnP, natural cork, 13% Alc., yellow color.

Nose: Fine barrique notes, blood orange.

Palate: Good balance, dominated by blood orange, some mandarine, fine barrique notes, harmonious strong acidity, dense and good complexity, even some depth.

Very good exciting Chardonnay, needs some more bottle ripening, 92-93+.
