-- decanted for an hour before tasting -- -- tasted non-blind over a few hours --
NOSE: oak; asphalt; light blackberry and a bit spicy; toast; hint of brown sugar; despite all these descriptors, it really came across as mostly boring.
BODY: fine sediment present; medium-light bodied; purple-tinged ruby color of moderate depth.
TASTE: another acidic bottle of this wine (bottle variation with this wine has me pulling my hair ... bottles of this wine have either been really good (big, tannic, typical St. Emilion) or just ho-hum (acidic, watery, boring) ... this was one of the disappointing bottles. Flavors of light plum and spices; watery mouthfeel; 35-40 sec. finish. Bummer, as I know this wine is better than this.

very similar to my 2/18/2008 note ... tannins were persistent throughout entire bottle this time and this bottle also showed an underlying mineral element on the palate.
