High acidity. Ripe, mature and oxidative. Don't think this will get better with more age and should be drunk now. Good and very enjoyable, but not great. This bottle was purchased recently on secondary market, so may not be representative.

Boneyard Fried Chicken and Bubbles with the Boys (Sherman Oaks): At dinner. Brief note. This too was one of the wines of the night. A very bright and intense nose and palate showed apricot marmalade and compote, canned peaches, sweet passionfruit curd, bruised pineapple, marzipan, and soft powdered chalk. This had a serious delicious factor to it. The palate kept on unfolding and gaining weight and drive. Impeccable balance here too. Finish was long and complex. This just had so much to give. Another big thanks to EG for bringing this. You've ruined me, you bastard!

Insane nose on this one! Wow. It really strikes you. I spent a solid couple minutes just enjoying the aromatics before even taking a sip. Wasn't disappointed there either. 20 years old, but still alive and kicking.

Fantastic champagne (and wine by any measure) now, mature and complex nose starting with apples and getting more caramel and autumn leaves over time. Truly mouthfilling - sweet apples, caramel with a appetizing delicious acidity which lingers long after each sip. Impressive and delicious.
