13.5% abv. Cabernet Sauvignon: 52%; Merlot: 44%; Syrah: 4%. Originally paid $14.99 plus tax. Dark purple color; opaque. Sediment on one side of bottle. (Label says that harmless tartrates may be present.) A pleasant red blend that has held up well over the years. It strikes me as expressing red fruits rather than black fruits --not very tannic but with some evidence of earthiness. Can work where a Merlot would suit. This paired well with shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

Left a number of these at a vacation home for quaffing - it went well with the requisite vacation meals of grilled meats and such. I drank half a dozen or so over the course of 3 years and despite the switch-over to composite corks (the prior vintage, had real cork) it held up nicely in our cool cellar. The prior vintage to me, had great QPR - this one not so much.

Wine is fairly simple and not complex, even after a trip through the venturi.Very approachable with nice red and black berry flavors. Difinitely worth more than the $13.00 price I paid.
