  • Very thin and harsh, hints of the Chinese herbal medications I used to take as a child. Nasty stuff. I could do much better with my own home made wine. Stay far far away from this one.

  • Brought by my sister-in-law to a Thanksgiving dinner, acquired from her most recent trip to China last week. I have to say, I've never had a wine from China before. Apparently, this wine is rather well know that thought of rather highly in Hong Kong. At first, the nose gave off an intense plum note, and was completely disjointed on the palette. It takes a few hours though, the plumy fruit dies down, and the musty notes come out. Musty is a good way of describing the predominate taste on the palette. Some sweet port line notes, with some dusty licorice. Finish is short, and harsh. Let's just say, everyone at dinner quickly moved to the bottles that I brought.
