  • Muted and does not really comes through, dumb phase? The concentration is there, aromas did not change much, but the intensity and the fruits are dialed down considerably. Tannin sticks out a bit, too. This tasted a lot better eight months ago. Will it open up again?

  • Quite different compared to the previous vintage. Monastrell-like aromas, it’s almost like a Bandol, wild and earthy. Baked cassis, tomato leaf, some blood, definitely on the savoury side of things. Smooth with low acidity, only medium-bodied, but gently powerful, due to the ripe, firm tannins. Southern generosity and ripeness with restrain – it’s so French. An authentic red from Languedoc. Source: own purchase.
