M+ IOA with hay, herbs, fennel, linden and butter, fresh and crisp, sensation, Yeasts and lees further on the nose development. Complex and ripe at the same time.
M+ acidity, all medium with same aromas dominated by fresh cut herbs and secondary lees character. This is 40 months on lees ! M+ length, it did not show as much complexity as the wine after but still holds well in the tasting. Quite challenging in the midst of Chardonnay/Pinot blends and other sparkling quite not as good...
Very Good wine, balanced and complex, a peculiar style for sure. I though it was Cap classique of VG quality...

A little sweeter and less elegant than the 2013 or 2014 vintages, but nonetheless it shows some complexity and provides pleasureable drinking for the moment. Better as an aperitif than with food. Drink now or within a year.

Monserrat and the Penedes, long time no see (sant sadurni d'anoia): At the estate,
A blend of 50 Xarel Lo, 40 Macabeu, 10 Parellada
Nose of medium intensity with dried fruits, brioche, honey, pear, driven by the lees aging
palate is very good, med intensity as well, a bit flat in acid, needs more zing to be very good, it's round, sweet, honeyed
Altogether the visit at Gramona was a little bit more exciting and more in depth ...
