  • 100% Kékfrankos aka. Blaufränkisch. 13% alcohol, 1,8 g/l residual sugar and 5,4 g/l acidity.

Pale-to-medium-deep salmon pink color. Youthful, fragrant nose of melon and some strawberry, a little bit of ripe Golden Delicious apple and a primary hint of ripe pear or even pear drops. The wine is youthful, fresh and lively on the palate with bright flavors of red apple and melon, some primary notes of ripe pear, a little bit of raspberry, light sour apple candy tones, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of peppery spice. The high acidity lends great sense of balance and freshness to the wine. The finish is clean, fresh and quite lengthy with flavors of crunchy apple, some stony mineral notes, a little bit of brambly raspberry, light primary notes of ripe pear and a hint of melon.

A nice but perhaps a bit generic rosé that gets redeemed by its nice, acid-driven structure, zip and sense of balance. There's nothing particularly interesting or memorable here, but as a simple, refreshing rosé this wine works wonderfully well. At just 2190 HUF (approx. 5,50€) this wine shows superb value.
