Wine pours to an almost clear color with just a hint of straw. Not much going on with either the aroma or flavors. Definitely not what I was expecting from Quilt. I wanted to like this wine but there are so many better Chardonnays in this price range.

On nose: oak resin, vanilla, hazlenuts.... On palate: all flavour notes amplified......notes of butter, overripe canteloupe, with other, more pleasant fruit and citrus notes trying to fight their way through the persistent oak.....my first experience with this producer, possibly my last.....Starmont and Brewer- Clifton make a superior product in the same price range....and at $43.00 a bottle in Vancouver.....will not buy again. I can't believe James Suckling , gave this 90 points in a " pro" review.
