Another nice bottle, nothing fancy but a well balanced wine, with a little bit of all things nice - acid, fruit, bready notes, richness and elegance. Great QPR on the sale price here (B+/A-).

Had another bottle of this last night, and it showed very differently from the first bottle - not as rich and powerful, more elegant and balanced. Almost a night and day difference: quite the bottle variation! I liked this version better. Good QPR here (A-).

Dark straw in colour and extremely intense nose of lemon, wet stone, and yeast immediately upon opening. It did mellow out a bit (which was for the better) and everything felt a bit more nuanced in the glass. Toasty biscuit, yeast, lemon and some lovely sweeter notes as well. Palate is rich with a pleasant creamy undertone and firm bubble structure with brioche and lemon persisting through.
We really enjoyed this and as has been noted previously, it is a rather hefty style so bear that in mind. Not overly complex but 100% enjoyable. 90pts.

Biggie nailed the desciption of this wine (same lot number). A lovely nose and a rich, weighty style. It is almost too rich, but if you like the style, it’s a great QPR. Ready now and over the next few years - not a long term wine (B+).

Dark straw in colour. Small consistent bubbles. Nose is unexpected - must be some reserve juice in here. Apple, brioche, straw, caramel on the nose. Rich on the palate with lots of brioche and pear. Delicious and seems much more developed than expected. Lot 28220-01
